“Average Songs” is an eight tracks album which was self-produced, recorded and mastered at Synchronia Recording Studios in Rome, Italy by “Toygrace” during 2010-2011. The album was released digitally in December 2011.

The meeting of piano player and composer Emanuele “Ema” Parlati and vocalist Laura Ferri Ricchi gave birth to Toygrace in August 2009. Ema composed the music and wrote the lyrics for the album “Average Songs”. Ema plays piano, keyboards and guitars in most of the album’s songs. Although Toygrace was formed as a Duo, the album also features Piero E. Pierantozzi on drums, Simone Di Rienzo on bass guitar, vocalist Denis Tesselli, and Vince Grieco on guitar.

“Average Songs” sounds like…“What’s going on here?”… You can’t put it into a specific genre. The songs are mood-styled and the compositions sound properly balanced with very few ups and downs. The instruments are very well performed and all musical arrangements fit perfectly. Laura is an outstanding vocalist capable of switching singing styles from Progressive-Metal to Pop, Latin and even pushing someone’s buttons with a Jazz melody.

Toygrace founder and band’s leader Ema Parlati played as an extreme metal keyboardist for a death metal band called “Defunctis”, but you’re not going to listen any of that playing style on the “Average Songs” album. Ema has also played live gigs for various tribute-covers bands throughout Italy in their most different musical styles. All this together helped Ema to refine his musical knowledge, piano playing and songwriting abilities to sit and compose the tracks for Toygrace’s first album “Average Songs”. This album clearly reflects the unique way this sophisticated piano composer feels music to express the everyday living sentiments. Toygrace music provides a mix of positive energy and calmness while listening. It is all mainly focused in trying to find the right balance in our lives.

The “Average Songs” album also counts with a video-clip for the song “Great!” directed by Rosencrantz & Guilderstern from RG Factory in Rome. This song was first presented live in August 2010 by Toygrace vocalist Laura Ferri Ricchi at the Music Festival in Solariolo (IT) and reached the semifinals position. Toygrace is also a DEUCE act, a serious and established London-based Management for unsigned bands.

“Toygrace” formed in Rome, Italy, in August 2009. The meeting of piano player and composer Emanuele “Ema” Parlati and vocalist Laura Ferri Ricchi gave birth to Toygrace. Both are professional musicians who performed for various live tribute bands throughout Italy for a long time. Musically, Ema and Laura have a strong connection and share the same passion: “Toygrace”.

Emanuele “Ema” Parlati was born on February 4^th, 1976 in Bari, a small town located in the South-East area of Puglia in Italy. But his family moved out to Rome when he was a little kid, and this makes him feel as a Roman guy since he has no recollections of Bari.

The art of making music touched Ema’s life deeply and became his number one priority. He attended piano lessons and started really playing at the age of 14. He also is a self-taught guitarist, bassist and drummer.

Ema has experimented with all kinds of genres and piano playing styles over the years for different musical groups. But the most notorious band he was a part of playing as an extreme metal keyboardist in the 90’s was “Defunctis”, a death metal band. He then walked off and went deeper into jazz music studies to improve his piano playing. And soon after Ema became a professional pianist-keyboardist for many pop and rock live acts in Italy.

In 2009 and with enough experience, Ema composed the music and wrote the lyrics for the album “Average Songs”, his first band project “Toygrace”. He produced, recorded and mixed all the tracks and was also in charge of all the musical arrangements. In “Average Songs” Ema plays piano, keyboards and guitars.

Laura Ferri Ricchi was born on April 3^rd of 1979 in Rome, Italy. Laura discovered her singing abilities at the age of 16. She is an outstanding vocalist capable of switching singing styles from Progressive-Metal to Pop, Latin and even pushing someone’s buttons with a Jazz melody. Laura gained stage experience and presence by performing with a number of covers bands in Italy. She is an avid reader and literature lover as well as a great sports player.

Although Ema was looking for a more darker-oriented vocalist, Laura’s voice made him change his mind after jamming together and singing along some tracks. “Toygrace” is certainly giving Laura the right scenario to really shine-singing. The album “Average Songs” proves it.

Harry Waters is a British piano and Hammond organ player who is internationally known not only for being the son of former Pink Floyd’s bass player Roger Waters but for his inimitable creativity in terms of musical expression in different styles until he found his piano playing way in jazz music.

Harry started his first piano basic-lessons at the age of eight with a piano teacher in England. Five years later he took the learning task to a more serious level with another piano teacher who taught him boogie woogie, blues and ragtime.

Harry Waters played in various bands from funk, metal, rock and pop. He also played for a couple of covers bands such as “Boot-Led Zeppelin” and “The Cosmic Charlies”. All this together gave Harry the opportunity to try out different styles of music and improve his piano playing for three long years mainly immersed into rock music.

The young piano player Waters then started to listen to jazz music and found it particularly interesting to experiment with it and break the rules of rock structures. This eventually caused a notorious change on his piano playing and musical compositions in times where he was playing with a rock band called Hubble Deep Field. This led to some musical disagreements with the band members so Harry walked off. Around the same time he started playing his piano along to Bill Evans and Oscar Peterson albums so it was not that difficult for Waters to finally decide the musical style he wanted to jump in. He formed a quartet band with the following lineup:

“Harry Waters Band” played numerous and successful gigs including the “Jazz-i-nec”, a Jazz Festival in Trutnov, Czech Republic.

Harry Waters is currently touring with his father Roger Waters’ The Wall Live in South America, and during his visit to Buenos Aires, Argentina for nine “The Wall” concerts at River Plate Stadium, he will perform in a more intimate environment with musicians by surprise including the Argentine Modern Group “Timotteo”. The event is effectively being presented and promoted by D.B.N, an Argentine Records Distributor Company since Harry’s band recently released a record of 13 tracks. Eleven of those are fully composed by Harry Waters, and two Bonus Tracks “Libertango” and “Violentango” which are versions from Tango Master Astor Piazzola featuring “Timotteo”. Harry Waters’ performance will take place at ND ATENEO Theatre in Buenos Aires on March 11th, 2012.

THE WALL TOUR 2012

Roger Waters’ “The Wall Live” project-design to tour the world was headed by Mark Fisher working hand in hand with a number of prestigious names such as Jeremy Lloyd, Sean Evans, and Tyler Kisera of Tait Towers along with Andrew Zweck of “Sensible Events”, and Chris Kansy internationally known for his work with Van Morrison and Janet Jackson among others.

For young beginners into the music world and/or for those who are not yet familiar with the origins of “The Wall”, I’m putting together the most relevant elements to understand better the concept of this new “The Wall”, a memorable live tour that Roger Waters invites the world to join his venture and message.

The Wall is an opera rock which deeply explores human beings’ abandonment, suffering and isolation conditions. It is all represented by the figurative building of a huge wall. The double album songs and film storyline follow a number of events happening in the life of the main character Pink, a role mainly based on Roger Waters’ personal story. He grew up hoping his father would return back home. Waters’ father was killed during the World War II. The story continues with an oppressed Pink by his domineering mother plus he finds himself tormented at school by despotic-insulting teachers. The whole thing turns out into symbolic “bricks”. Pink grows up and turns out to be a successful rock star. But his personal life becomes a nightmare with the abandonment-infidelity of his wife, drug abuse and acts of rage toward others as his behavior turns unpredictable. This way, Pink finishes the building of his own wall and secluding himself from human contact. While Pink hides behind his own wall, his nervous system experiences a variety of behavioral crisis and ends up on an on-stage “hallucination” performance where he sees himself as a fascist dictator playing in front of a Neo-Nazi assembly. The guilt Pink feels is too big to handle so he puts himself on a court-trial where his own judge orders him to “Tear Down The Wall”.

The Alan Parker-directed film The Wall written by Roger Waters includes several reflections on Pink Floyd co-founder and former member guitarist-singer-visual artist Syd Barrett. Roger Waters shows the grief that Syd’s erratic behavior caused on him the day the guitarist appeared at Abbey Road Recording Studios in 1975 with his hair and eyebrows shaved off. The sad event is represented by the Pink character played by musician-actor Bob Geldof in a crucial scene where he shaves off his body hair and eyebrows after experiencing a mental breakdown.

The extraordinary new presentation of The Wall is by far the purest-honest masterpiece ever created. The feelings of loss, suffering and abandonment that were at the center of Roger Waters’ original “The Wall” storyline are still present. But the significance of it as a whole has now been extended to a more deep assertion on the consequences caused by religions, war, politics and business-trade. It also shows how all this together impacted on people’s lives for centuries. Corporate logos and religious symbols reveal most of the human kind conflicts. It doesn’t matter if you’re not familiar with the 1979 Pink Floyd double album or the Alan Parker-directed movie. The message is clear enough and is the kind of spectacle that you can’t miss. The Wall is more like a fine-arts-theatrical production than an average rock concert.

“The Wall Live” is divided into two 55 minutes long Acts approximately where this astonishing masterwork delights the audience not only musically but visually with the building of the huge wall with hundreds bricks together and making a total of about 500. During and after its full construction, the meaningful wall turns into some sort of huge screen where outstanding-colored-significant images are shown. Additionally the 10m-high inflatable puppets representing The Teacher, The Mother, and the famous flying pig make the audience feel that the whole thing is not of this planet.

The Wall is musically recreated by Roger Waters on bass guitar, acoustic guitar and vocals. Waters is accompanied by eleven accomplished musicians: guitar virtuoso Dave Kilminster who plays lead electric guitars during most of the show, acoustic-classical guitar on the song “Is there Anybody Out There?”; the banjo and also plays Waters’ bass Fender Precision on the song “Mother”. However the key moment for Kilminster is on the song “Comfortably Numb” which he plays so passionately note for note to please Floyd-Gilmour fans with a real high level of professionalism. Guitarists Snowy White and G.E Smith are truly amazing too, drummer Graham Broad, keyboardist Jon Carin, keyboardist-organist Harry Waters who is Roger Waters’ son and plays with him since 2002, vocalist Robbie Wyckoff and backing singers’ a.k.a The Pumpkin Launchers, Jon Joyce and The Lennons (Mark, Kipp and Pat).

After a number of sold-out and successful performances in Australia and New Zealand in February 2012, Roger Waters, musicians and crew prepare for the South America leg starting with two gigs in Santiago de Chile at The National Stadium on March 2^nd and 3^rd. They will be visiting Buenos Aires, Argentina for nine gigs at River Plate Stadium on March 7^th, 9^th, 10^th, 12^th, 14^th, 15^th, 17^th, 18^th and 20^th. After completing these performances, The Wall will be in Brazil to play four gigs: Porto Allegre on March 25^th, Rio de Janeiro on March 29^th, Sao Pablo on April 1^st and 2^nd. The band will then take a couple weeks off before arriving in Mexico to play two gigs at Foro Sol Stadium on April 27^th and 28^th.

Roger Waters’ The Wall will continue touring in North America from May to August 2012.

“It’s pretty liberating when you write all the words and then sing them. “No One Hears Me” is probably the most honest job that I’ve done lyrically”. (Riccardo “Rick” Cordi)

GLO is a Montreal-based rock-alternative band with a solid message in terms of musical style and personality. These Canadian rockers - Eddie Mazzola (guitarist & keyboardist and bassist), Patrick Rowan (drums) and Riccardo “Rick” Cordi (vocalist & rhythm guitars)-started their walk to stardom with the hit song “Move Along” from their previous album titled “On The Outside”. Now they are aiming higher still with “No One Hears Me”, a new album coming out in April 2012. The lead song to hit radio stations is expected to be “Don’t Believe”.

GLO’s previous album, “On The Outside”, was recorded and produced by the band’s lead guitarist Eddie Mazzola in his own studio. He then presented the tracks to veteran-established music producer-engineer Paul Lani, best known for his outstanding work with Red Hot Chili Peppers and Megadeth among many others, for the final mix.

According to the band’s bio, Eddie and Patrick played in a metal band called “Stollo” before forming GLO. The story says that they had a brand new album recorded when their singer walked off. So they immediately placed an ad to audition singers and, after a long day of auditioning, there was only one left: Riccardo “Rick” Cordi.

“Well, I didn’t realize that I was the last audition of the day. I went in there being myself with my own personality and my own musical style. And it really was one of those rare moments where everything really clicked in terms of personality. We were all on the same page and it really fit perfectly. We’ve been working together ever since”.

The addition of Rick Cordi to the band made a huge impact on their musical compositions. They left their metal sound behind in favor of a more alternative-pop-rock sound. They also changed the band’s name from “Stollo” to GLO as a result.

The members of GLO are all classically trained musicians. It could be the reason why the addition of Rick Cordi clicked so naturally. That being said, each member has diverse musical influences, and this may be the reason why GLO’s music sounds nothing like what they listen to.

“We all are classically trained musicians. I started playing piano at a young age, I then learned to play guitar, and I also took singing lessons. Eddie, the band’s lead guitarist plays piano too”.

“I usually write songs while playing around on the piano or on the guitar like this… (this was a video Skype interview, so Rick picked up his guitar and played a couple tunes from scratch). I often come up with a melody as well and then the three of us work on the ideas together”.

“I write all the lyrics, and being the singer sometimes it gets a bit scary when you put yourself out there. I guess in a way I get to express myself differently than the rest of the band does. Using one’s voice is a bit more intimate than any musical instrument you can play… it’s also pretty liberating when you write all the words and then sing them”.

“Our new record “No One Hears Me”, which is coming out in April 2012, is probably the most honest job that I’ve done lyrically”.

“No One Hears Me” is a five-track album recorded in Montreal, Canada and was produced by platinum-certified record producer John Nathaniel. GLO is now getting ready for the album release. GLO is also preparing for a tour across Canada and hopefully in the United States. The album will be out in April and available on iTunes. THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF’S OFFICIAL DEBUT EP

The Commander In Chief recorded five songs for an EP in December 2011 with metal music producer/engineer Sterling Winfield best known for his work with Pantera, Hatebreed and Hellyeah among others featured metal acts. The online release of The Chief’s debut EP “Evolution” is expected for today February 15^th, 2012. Sterling Winfield stated:

“This is NO auto tune, NO pro tools magic, NO copy and paste. She did all guitars and all vocals for 5 songs in 11 days, performing 12 to 15 hours a day”.

Although The Chief recorded five songs for the EP “Evolution”, one of the songs has been saved for later. So, “Evolution” counts with four tracks:

THOU is the most heavy track and really honors the 7 string Ibanez Guitar! The producer said: "I would like to see any man play this one after you"...

THOU is about excessive greed and those who make decisions that ruin other people's lives, for the sake of profit. A satirical "Metal Hymn" to the one true God everybody worships: MONEY.

FAMOUS is a more commercial track as The Chief message needs to be heard by everyone without worrying about any music likes or genre style, period. It is a slap in the face to reality shows and was directly inspired by Kim Kardashian and Jershey Shore/The Situation, who are famous for...NOTHING.

EVOLUTION, the EP title track clearly reflects a music evolution. The lyrics were inspired by crazy scientists who do anything to get famous, no matter what the consequences are for people or animals. The Chief read about the man who invented Lobotomy, the Frankenstein book and also the scientist who likes to have stuff attached to monkey's brains to see if he can manipulate them.

LET IT GO is a deep and very well done ballade that goes right to the core. There’s no doubt this song was written on a personal subject. And The Chief confirmed it as a very personal song which was written two years ago to her younger brother. It is for anyone who has been or is being bullied or suffering from some kind of depression.

As stated in a previous article, The Commander In Chief’s future looks bright and promising. She is the first Norwegian female 7 string guitarist-songwriter-singer in Metal!

The Chief was featured in Metal Hammer UK in January, Metal Hammer Norway edition in February and will be in Total Guitar two weeks from now.

Dave Kilminster is a prestigious British multi-faceted guitarist, composer, music teacher, vocalist, engineer and producer. In 1991 Dave participated in a competition run by Guitar Magazine and won the award of “Guitarist Of The Year” with the masterwork instrumental “Sundance”.

Although Dave Kilminster is best known as the touring guitarist for Roger Waters’ “Dark Side of the Moon” (2005-2008) and “The Wall” (2010-2012), he has also played brilliantly for Keith Emerson Band, Carl Palmer and John Wetton-former King Crimson- among a long list of fabulous artists and bands such as “Qango” and “Guthrie Govan”.

Kilminster has a vast trajectory both as a skillful guitar teacher and as an exceptional performer in the techniques of tapping, pull-off, sweep-picking and hammer-on. He has released a number of guitar-instructional-techniques DVDs and has written many articles for Guitar Techniques Magazine. Critics, fans and musicians agree that Dave is one of the most prestigious talents the music world counts with.

As a solo artist in 2004 Dave re-released the unbeaten classical guitar album “Playing with Fire” which he recorded with one of his ex students featuring all instrumental tracks. In 2007 Dave released his first true solo album “Scarlet” where he plays guitars, keyboards, strings and also sings. Dave wrote all the music and lyrics for this outstanding 10 tracks album featuring Pete Riley on drums and Phil Williams on bass guitar, both from the Keith Emerson Band.

“Scarlet” is such a bright album filled with very nice melodies and marvelous guitar work obviously coming from Dave’s astonishing guitar playing technique. But on a more insightful note, “Scarlet” really surprises you with his singing ability as a whole and even holding high notes accurately. Dave’s voice is undoubtedly amazing and really harmonizes with the music.

In April of 2011, Dave Kilminster released “Closer To Earth”, an acoustic “covers” album featuring the hauntingly soulful voice of Murray Hockridge. According to the English pair there was just an instant connection from the very first time they jammed. The recording sessions and release of the album prove them right.

A Beautiful Soul Reaches The Heavens

(January 23rd, 1950 - February 8th, 2012)

This is the most difficult article to write for me today, the kind of story I’m refusing to work on since yesterday…

On February 8^th, 2012 I received the sad news of Spinetta’s passing. He was fighting lung cancer since last year and unfortunately lost the battle at 62. He devoted 43 years of his life to the art of music expression. And while his music lives on, he will be greatly missed for the lovely person he was.

Luis Alberto Spinetta also known as “El Flaco”, was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on January 23rd, 1950. He was a progressive guitarist, composer, singer and poet. The nature of his musical compositions and poetic lyrics made his name a recognizable one not only in Argentina but in Latin America and in many European countries.

“El Flaco Spinetta” was an avid reader of poetry books, psychology and sociology texts and philosophy. Nietzsche, Freud, Rimbaud, Castaneda and Artaud were the most influential ones on his poetic lyrics. In fact, one of Spinetta’s albums is titled “Artaud”.

Spinetta started his musical career in 1967 with a group called “Almendra” with Emilio del Guercio, Edelmiro Molinari y Rodolfo García. The first album was released in 1969 and three of the tracks are still considered classics and will keep that way forever: “Muchacha Ojos De Papel”, “Ana No Duerme” and “Plegaria Para Un Niño Dormido”. In 1970, the band released a double album containing two memorable hits “Rutas Argentinas” and “Los Elefantes”. Almendra worked on an Opera Rock project, but due to some internal conflicts they disbanded.

“El Flaco” worked on a number of musical projects including the recording of a solo album titled “Spinettalandia y sus amigos” which was released in 1971. He then went on to form “Pescado Rabioso” with Carlos Cutaia, Osvaldo Frascino / David Lebón y Black Amaya. They released the album titled “Desatormentados” in 1972 and a double album still considered one of the best of Spinetta’s career: “Pescado II” in 1973.

Around the same year he released a solo album inspired by Antonin Artaud poetry. However, it appears as work with "Pescado Rabioso". The album art cover is a picture of the famous poet. On several occasions Spinetta stated that he was a huge fan of Artaud poetry.

By the end of 1973 Spinetta formed a brand new band called “Invisible” and released three albums. They disbanded in 1976 saying “good bye” with two sold out concerts at Luna Park stadium.

There’s no doubt, “El Flaco” was born to be an artist. His creative talent was unlimited and never stopped. In 1977 he released another album with a band he simple called “Banda Spinetta”. In 1979 he traveled to the United States and with the full support of world famous Guillermo Vilas, recorded his only album in English titled “Only Love Can Sustain”.

In the 80s the long awaited reunion of “Almendra” finally happened releasing a double live album which was recorded at Obras Sanitarias stadium. Almost at the same time he formed another brand new band called “Spinetta Jade” and soon after he released two solo albums “Kamikaze” in 1982, and “Mondo di Cromo” in 1983.

By 1985 Spinetta tried to work things out with fellow musician Charly García for an album together, but they only registered one song titled “Rezo Por Vos”. El Flaco then worked successfully with Fito Paez and León Gieco releasing “La,La,La”.

There were a huge number of sold out live performances throughout his career and was also able to compose soundtracks for the film “Fuego Gris” directed by Pablo César in 1994. He then formed a trio band called “Spinetta y Los Socios del Desierto”. With this band he toured locally and finished it with a great live show at The Opera Theatre. And in 1996 he said that he wanted to make a massive performance in the woods of Palermo in Buenos Aires for free.

After a few years of being silent, El Flaco returned back with the new millennium releasing “Silver Sorgo” in 2001, “Para los Árboles” in 2003, “Camalotus” a four tracks EP, “Pan” in 2006 and “Un Mañana” in 2008. On December 4^th, 2009 “El Flaco Spinetta” performed at Velez Sarsfield stadium and played there for the enjoyment of his forever fans during five hours.

In January of 2012 he had a major surgery due to complications caused by diverticulitis. According to family statements the surgery was not related to the primary lung cancer. He died peacefully on February 8^th, 2012.

Luis Alberto Spinetta… musician, guitarist, composer, poet… a beautiful soul has now reached the heavens!

THE INTELLIGENCE CIRCLES

In 1967 Jim Morrison started talking about faking his death to bring media attention onto the band. This sort of speech happened for the first time publicly at the Fillmore in San Francisco. He also had said that he would drop out his rock star identity to become a business man. He then came up with the famous Mr. Mojo Risin anagram which would be eventually used to contact friends in secret…really? Well, it is known that he told Danny Sugerman and Jerry Hopkins that he could see himself radically changing careers and reappearing as a suited and necked-tied businessman.

“What would happen if I were to suddenly die?

How would it affect business, record sales and the press? Would people believe it?”

What kind of career was he talking about? Turning into a suited and necked-tied businessman? Why would he want to change careers? What did he have in mind?

Well…go figure!

There is another anagram that came up in 1971 while Jim Morrison was in Paris. He wrote “Jomo and the Smoothies” on a tape in which he and two American friends had recorded a 14 minutes session. This anagram reads as follows: “Mojo Dies at the Moons”.

Frederick Nietzsche used to describe the evolution of man happening as the phases of the moon. The evolution of man Nietzsche spoke about was related to “Superman”. Additionally, he described it as “The Celebration of Life”. So, this anagram may be interpreted as an expression of Jim’s desires to keep his last days in Paris alive as a “Celebration of Life”.

Now, there is another meaning for “Moons” and is associated to secret operations made by the U.S Government in its different military areas. Moons, occult symbols, snakes, starts and dragons among many other words and logos are part of a secret military language. Many of these words are attached to a great number of Greek meanings. It is known Jim Morrison had a vast knowledge on the Ancient Greeks, Romans and Egyptians, mythology, history, cultures, religions, politics and philosophy among many other subjects in which sciences and drug testing are also included. Most of this knowledge is clearly seen in his poetry and songs. However many of the words have a hidden meaning. Why would he be interested in all of these subjects?

The Moon has been the subject of common legends in ancient times. The Moon was associated with various gods and goddesses. And in contemporary times, the Moon has assumed a main role in Neo-Paganism.

In astrology the Moon represents the inner emotional side of the self. And, at some point it has been identified with a mixture of remarkable behavior patterns known as mental disorders, multiple personalities, lunacy or madness.

Was Jim Morrison becoming lunatic? Was he experiencing fear of changing careers?

Jim had a vast knowledge on mythologies and he could have associated the Moon with “Phobos” the largest and closer of the two Moons planet Mars has. The word “phobia” derives from the Greek word for fear: phobos. Phobia is defined as an excessive and persistent fear of somebody or something. Additionally, to the ancient Greeks Phobos was a deity, the personification of FEAR. It was the son of Ares God Of War. Phobos always escorted his father in battle.

James Douglas Morrison’s father was an Admiral of the US Navy and was privy on classified information pertained to intelligence and counterintelligence. Rear Admiral George Stephen (Steve) Morrison was born on January 7^th, 1919 in Georgia and died on November 17^th, 2008 at the age of 89. He entered the U.S Naval Academy and soon after his graduation Admiral Morrison went to Pearl Harbor where he served aboard the mine-layer Pruitt. He then witnessed the Japanese attack of December 7^th, 1941. During this period he met Clara Clark and married her, and soon after Admiral Morrison was required to go to Florida for flight training in spring of 1943. His eldest son James Douglas Morrison was born on December 8^th of 1943 in Clearwater, Florida.

During the last year of World War II in 1945 Admiral Morrison flew combat operations and also during the Korean War. He worked on secret nuclear projects at Los Alamos, New Mexico where “The Manhattan Project” took place. “The Manhattan Project” resulted in the creation of numerous production and research sites operating in secret. The three main research and production sites of this project were the plutonium-production facility at Richland, WA now known as Hanfor Site, the uranium-enrichment facilities at Oak Ridge, TN, and the weapons research and design laboratory now recognized as Los Alamos National Laboratory at Los Alamos, NM.

“The Manhattan Project” is known as the project to develop the first atomic weapon during World War II in which the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada worked on from 1939 to 1946. The “Los Alamos” facility was responsible for the final assembly of “Little Boy” nuclear bomb dropped on August 6^th, 1945 in Hiroshima; and “Fat Man” nuclear bomb dropped on August 9^th, 1945 in Nagasaki.

Rear Admiral George Steve Morrison commanded the fleet of ships in the Tonkin Gulf incident which soon after resulted on the escalation of the Vietnam War. He dealt with a flood of at least 140,000 South Vietnamese refugees after the fall of Saigon in April of 1975. He created a tent city on an uninhabited airfield to provide safe housing to them while waiting for new homes in the United States.

A Female Visual Artist Filling With Fast-Colors Her Seven-String-Ibanez Guitar

“The Commander In Chief” (The Chief) was born in Norway 22 years ago. She has traveled around the globe and lived in many countries. She talks four languages and has expressed a deep interest in visual arts from when she was a little kid.

The Chief attended school in France and Italy impressing the teachers with her artworks. They definitely wanted her to pursue in visual arts, but The Chief had something else going on into the creative field. She moved to Chicago, attended high-school there and had arts classes every day. Her progress in visual arts reached the top in 2005 causing The Chief a deep feeling for music as a complimentary way of artistic expression. She wanted to write music through what she creatively visualizes. But she needed to learn how to play an instrument first.

“I started learning to play guitar because I wanted to write music. I had all these ideas for songs, but I couldn’t play instruments”

The Chief has an amazing attitude; she is so dedicated and disciplined to reach the goal. She knew right from the start that things were not going to just happen by miracle, you have to work hard.

“I’m very happy with how things are going. I started it out playing in 2005 and I’ve been working really hard in my guitar playing, songwriting and singing. I’m taking singing lessons every day since 2008. I really work hard to get good”.

In 2008, The Chief was signed by Elisabeth Hagen on a full time manager position at “The Commander In Chief Ltd”. Hagen is an Opera singer with Bel Canto technique. She studied in Verona, Italy and is a vocal coach. Aside from the singing abilities, her specialties in the entertainment field are also focused on marketing and artist development.

“We sat down and wrote a plan and a contract for our professional relationship. The Chief is totally dedicated and has a work ethics that shocks everybody. When you are so passionate about it, it is what you do 24/7. And that’s why she is currently getting major press in Metal Hammer and Total Guitar and is an official Ibanez artist, playing the prototype Falchion 7, the only one of its kind in the world. She is also endorsed by Seymour Duncan, Jim Dunlop and Ernie Ball”.

The first song The Chief wrote is titled “Battle for the Mind” and she made an animated video for it in 2008. She then recorded a new version of the song and received an uncountable number of great reviews online in 2010 on her MySpace site. “Battle for the Mind” is about the bombardment of input from commercials on TV.

“I usually write lyrics about modern society, injustice and political stuff that happen. My artworks reflect that. When I start writing a song, I always know what the title will be. Then I write the lyrics and the music gets together. I work on this basically by illustrating lyrics”

In August 2011 The Chief recorded Black Sabbath song “Paranoid”, a classic in heavy metal music history. And on November 17^th 2011 The Chief received her first official award nomination for “Paranoid” by Hollywood Music in Media Awards.

“I was thinking about making a cover at that time and was trying a few songs from different bands. But I am a big fan of Tony Iommi and Ozzy Osbourne so I tried Paranoid and played around with it for a while. I then recorded it. It’s my own interpretation of it. I really wanted to put my own touch on it and that’s what I did”.

The release of The Chief version of Paranoid reached the attention of major magazines such as Revolver, Classic Rock, and NME, in addition to hundreds of smaller sites and E-magazines around the world.

The Chief musical likes truly show how serious she is about playing guitar, composing and practicing. It really nurtures her and proves her right.

“I’m very open-minded. My musical culture is pretty large. I listen to all kinds of music. I like good songs and good songwriting. I listen from Jefferson Airplane to The Immortals, Slayer, Misfits, Ramones and Arch Enemy among many, many others plus classical music. And this is why I became obsessed with the technical aspect of it meaning that helps me tremendously while practicing and on my guitar playing technique. Now, I started to listen to more extreme metal music. I’m really getting into extreme metal”.

The Commander In Chief recorded five songs for an EP in December 2011 with metal music producer/engineer Sterling Winfield best known for his work with Pantera, Hatebreed and Hellyeah among others featured metal acts. The release of The Chief EP “Evolution” is expected for February 15^th, 2012. Sterling Winfield stated:

”This is NO auto tune, NO pro tools magic, NO copy and paste. She did all guitars and all vocals for 5 songs in 11 days, performing 12 to 15 hours a day”.

The Chief was featured in January 2012 with a full page in Metal Hammer, UK and also in February 2012 in Metal Hammer, Norway edition.

The Chief’s future looks bright and promising. Let’s wait until February 15^th to listen to some metal killer 7 string Ibanez guitar.

JM SANCTUARY RANCH PART III:

Despite the tales I heard from Joanne and Gerald Pitts, I feel particularly interested in an e-mail I received from Dr. Marsha in which she clearly says something that made my head shake twice!

"We met Gerald Pitts as mutual friends. In the course of a year we determined that he was not honest and forthright with us. He was fired effective December 31st, 1999. We have completely disassociated ourselves from Mr. Pitts and his friends and his family. We have nothing to do with Gerald Pitts! “A Current Affair” representatives came to our home unannounced on three days in a row this past March and were denied interviews or photos. They attempted to take photos from our neighbors’ property. Their June 2005 episode on FOX TV featured Gerald Pitts and made a FARCE of the entire thing! In any case, we have nothing to do with Gerald Pitts! My husband previously had expressed an interest in meeting with Ray Manzarek. Unfortunately, Danny Sugerman (now deceased) interfered with that in 1996”.

As I previously said, Dr. Marsha and William James Loyer met for the first time in 1995 and according to what she said; both went through difficult times. Although she wasn’t specific on the kind of difficulties they went through, the whole thing suggests that her husband was determined to reveal the truth to Ray Manzarek in 1996. And, apparently he was stopped by The Doors manager Danny Sugerman. Why?

In 2001 Ray Manzarek published “The Poet in Exile” a novel that deals with a fictional reunion with the dead rock star Jim Morrison suggesting that he faked his death and was living in an Island. Why Ray Manzarek wrote this story? Did Danny Sugerman reveal to Ray that meeting request?

The e-mails I received from Joanne Morrison (Opal Joanne Bristow) and the stories Gerald Pitts said, made me put things into balance and I managed to get them divided. Firstly, as Gerald Pitts said: “It’s a billion dollars story”. It is clear enough this man is doing all this for profit without taking a look to what might be behind. Secondly, Gerald Pitts while trying to break the news and fill his pockets made efforts to reveal how this cowboy is treated by Dr. Marsha… suggesting that William James Loyer isn’t allowed any phone calls, no visitors and that he isn’t allowed to even go outside unless Dr. Marsha is present… What’s going on here?

Below are the most relevant e-mails I received from Dr. Marsha from December 2005 to November 2006. The communication was fluent and on a regular basis. But I’m only sharing here some of those e-mails in chronological order:

December 14^th, 2005

“Dear Adriana,

This is just a letter to let you know that we received your e-mail. We met Gerald Pitts through mutual friends. In the course of a year we determined that he was not HONEST and forthright with us. He was FIRED effective December 31, 1999. He had stated he was a producer. He has misrepresented that he was my husband's AGENT! It is a conflict of interest to be a producer and an agent”.

“We have completely disassociated ourselves from Mr. Pitts and his friends and family. They have not appreciated us or our best interests. If Gerald thinks I am a monster that is because I have insulated my husband and family from him. It is our opinion that he has delusions of grandeur. He does not appear to have any business sense and certainly does not know how to be a friend”.

“A Current Affair representative came to our home unannounced on three days in a row this past March and were denied interviews or photos. They attempted to take photos from our neighbors property. If we had been approached nicely, we might have complied”.

“In any case, WE HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH GERALD PITTS! We have our small Sanctuary Ranch here and quietly raise registered paint and Arabian horses to keep us going physically and emotionally. We have both been through difficult times and appreciate the solitude”.

“My husband plans to write his own book”.

Thank you for your letters. Gerald is really something to think that he has a “FOREVER” contract -He is not to be trusted- The last time he was invited to our home was July 2001…five years ago”.

“We did receive a telephone call December 7^th from a woman who stated that she was Jim’s daughter, Joanne. He refused to talk with her and told me he had no recollection of her. When I told her this, she responded with such foul language men in a bar would cover their ears. I told that we don’t talk to people using f-----language and hung up on her”.

“It is interesting how many people want to profit from someone and do not really care about them. It is interesting that John Densmore had a fight to protect the original DOORS name and material- Good for him. We have been unaware of managers and agents and the like. It has been interesting to read what others say about someone when they think he is dead and out of the picture!

“Just go and help with more poopy duty in the barn.

Your information was interesting. Joanne called back and said that Gerald Pitts told her to say that she was my husband’s daughter. She apologized. For SIX years. We have not seen, spoken to or associated with Gerald Pitts. His VHS/DVD is unauthorized and unapproved. It is a rip-off & clearly a 4^th grader could do a better job, in my opinion.

“Hi Adriana,

You bring up many things in your last e-mail. You need to know that Gerald Pitts has never been my husband’s agent or producer! Gerald has misrepresented himself and put together a movie short that was to have been presented to legitimate Hollywood people to back a movie called “Redeemed” based upon a shoot-out that occurred in 1995 at his home. Instead, Gerald disappointed countless people and has gone his own way to use material he obtained by subterfuge. He is selling his “Discovery” video without approval or permission. It is totally unauthorized. It is so poorly done most people think it is a hoax. This has been going on since 1999 when we wrote Gerald to leave us alone, not to visit us, not to call us and not to write us. Twice since July 2002 he was notified that he was trespassing and told to leave. The Sheriffs are aware. My husband asked me to tell you that he will not talk to anyone. He is upset that Gerald has given out our telephone number and even our address. We have had drunks call us repeatedly and someone even come to our home stating Gerald sent him to talk. That man kept shouting at our house for my husband to come out and talk to him! I told him that this was a private property and that he should leave or I would call the Sheriffs. Our privacy is so important to us. We have never received any letters or books from you via Gerald.

My husband told me to tell you that he would be interested to read JM Ceremony. He said he would have to read it and decide about making any corrections or giving any information”

“We recently received a phone call from a man in “Chicago----Indiana area”. Chicago is in Illinois. I said, “Hello”. He asked. “Is this Marsha?” I answered yes. He went on to tell me that he is distributing and selling the video on E-bay and several other things. He had no idea that we had disassociated ourselves from Gerald in 1999!”

“Every time a vehicle pulls up in front of our home, our dogs alert and we pray that whoever will just leave. It is living in seclusion and being afraid of bombardment from paparazzi. In March 2005, Gerald actually had a team from Fox “A Current Affair” come to our home----------unannounced with camera man, sound man and the reporter. They wanted to interview my husband with no compensation. They were informed that my husband refused to see them for nothing! My husband stayed indoors. They returned a second day, and the “reporter” returned on his own and went up a ravine up onto our neighbor’s property and stood behind a tree with camera. Our dogs let us know. My husband spotted him and stayed indoors”.

“I called the neighbors and the man was asked to leave. “A Current Affair” aired a piece which showed Gerald and made the whole thing look stupid-----even stating more elusive than BIGFOOT.

“We have been quite busy here. This morning, JM Light My Fire was gelded by the veterinarian. He was 1 year old on May 30 and is a registered half Arabian out of our golden palomino stud. We are expecting four foals in the next few weeks and months”.

“It’s raining and gloomy here.----But summer will be soon.

“Hi Adriana,

We received the book in the mail on Friday. Jim’s first comment was that he liked the cover! He has not read it yet but a friend and I read him excerpts regarding Gerald and Cheri. You asked Gerald very good questions which he couldn’t answer-----because he has proved not to be our friend. He is definitely not an agent, manager, etc. He misused material for his own benefit and grandiosity”.

“We are in the process of some ranch spring cleanup. We are expecting 2 more foals by July 6 and another later in the summer. This week is very busy since we are splitting a pasture to make room in the barn”.

“You might be interested to know that several weeks ago Ray Manzarek performed in Grants Pass, Oregon with a guitarist at a theatre one hour from our home. I called the theatre and spoke to the manager. I was told “are you the folks in Eagle Point?” I left our phone number for Ray. He didn’t call. We do not have numbers or addresses of the other Doors---they are unlisted. Jim would like to speak to John!”

“My husband says to tell you that Gerald is not his agent or manager or promoter!

We do not receive money from Gerald!

We do not accept phone calls from Gerald!

We do not allow Gerald on our property!

We do not pay attention to his idiotic mail!

My husband tells me that when he writes his book, we shall have plenty of money! ALSO, my husband says, “You are welcome to come to visit us at our home!” He said he might even sing for you!

We are featuring our blue-eyed golden palomino (American Paint Horse Breeders Trust Futurity nominated) out of our Socket bred mare. Also noted are 2 APHA/AHR half Arabian closely matched pintos that are siblings by pedigree. We also have Bask/Egyptian related Arabians: black, gray and chestnut. Several nicely trained trail geldings will also be offered”.

“We realize that Argentina has terrific horses. Have you seen the movie “Hidalgo”? Our Socket bred mare looks like him but she has 2 blue eyes. It is my understanding that blue eyes are peculiar to the American Paint Horses. These are horses with white markings on their sides, on their legs above the knees, or across their back or necks”.

“I know that they have imported American Paint Horses to Brazil. Prized imports have sold for as much as $30,000.00 dollars. The one featured in the Paint Horse Journal was a more common colored white and sorrel tobiano color pattern. The overo color pattern is found in less than 30 percent. Most paint horses are black and white or sorrel (brown) and white. We have specifically bred for the golden palomino color with blue eyes and overo pattern. The half Arabian paint pinto babies are white with the brown spots and tobiano color pattern. One is named JM Light My Fire (a gelding); and the other is JM Lovemme Two Times (a filly)”.

“Hi Adriana,

We are waiting for the news in Variety Daily (Hollywood edition) to be digested by the public tomorrow!

I am very proud of my husband for not only who he was, but who he has become. I shall tell you that he is clean, sober and quit smoking cigarettes! We love our family and our horses, dogs, bunnies, lovebirds, turtle, and cat (one hasn’t been seen for weeks)”.

“Oh----this morning my husband caught a 6 inch rattlesnake with his hands. He wanted to know if I wanted to hold it. Are you kidding! He got rid of it!!!!! We have had Burmese pythons in the past, raised from 2 foot babies. After 9 years, one caught pneumonia and died despite antibiotics. The other was donated to a local zoo. It was 100 pounds and took 4 people to carry it to its new habitat. It had outgrown our big 300 gallon terrarium. Boys and their pet snakes!”

“Our Arabian mare “Lady” is due in a week, but her appearance and behaviour she might deliver tonight. It will be a long night…..In fact, it’s time to go out to the barn and check on her”.

“Dear Adriana,

I haven’t checked my e-mail for several weeks. Thank you for your concern and prayers for my husband. We are just trying to get by “one day at a time”. We had wonderful news: the lab test showed my husband’s liver infection was undetectable. He is very, very sick from the flu-like and other symptoms associated with the daily medication. His mood has its ups and downs. Being inside and resting most of the time isn’t his choice of lifestyle. He would much rather be up and around tending to our horses, bringing in wood for our stove, tending to the ranch, enjoying his hobbies and visiting grandchildren. I hope you and your family is enjoying health and happiness as we approach the Christmas season and New Year.

This was the last time I heard from Dr. Marsha. A month prior to her last e-mail I had received information on William James Loyer Probation Status, so I decided to tell her about it and that I was determined to find the truth whether her husband is the real James Douglas Morrison or not. Additionally I told her that if her husband was not able to speak to anyone or write to anyone, he should know that fingerprints or DNA will. I also said that if he wanted to be left alone he should have thought twice before telling “his” story to Gerald Pitts or to whoever that might have listened to. If he faked his death for whatever the hell the reasons were, he should have remained silent.

In March of 2007 Florida Governor Charlie Christ received a petition by the DCM and The Doors fans requesting James Douglas Morrison’s record be cleared of the 1969 charges. According to what has been reported Governor Christ is seriously considering pardoning Jim Morrison and said:

“He died when he was 27. That's really a kid, when you think about it, and obviously he was having some challenges. There's some dispute about how solid the case was”

Gerald Pitts had mentioned the so called “Miami Incident” as one of the reasons for “his” Jim Morrison not to reappear publicly since he is afraid of being sent to jail. Really? According to the law after seven years of the supposed death the case is considered “off”. In this case almost 38 years have passed after the Jim Morrison alleged death. What is he afraid of? There’s something else…
