London, UKEsoteric Antenna is pleased to announce the release of “SIGNAL TO NOISE”, the new studio album by twice Grammy nominated PINK FLOYD engineer ANDY JACKSON. “Signal to Noise” is a fine, modern, progressive work, which draws on Andy Jackson’s exemplary work as an engineer and producer. Besides being an allusion to Andy’s sound engineering background, the title refers to many of the lyrical themes of the album.

Andy explains: “The album reflects on the sorting of what is important in life from the humdrum of everyday existence, and is in itself an analogy for the process of the creation of the album”.

Andy Jackson began his career at Utopia Studios in London, training under James Guthrie, a relationship that continues to this day with the duo being co-pilots of Pink Floyd’s sound. Andy had success as a recording engineer at Utopia, including hits with Boomtown Rats “I Don’t Like Mondays”, before the call came from James Guthrie to follow him into the world of Pink Floyd, to work on the film of “The Wall”, an offer he couldn’t resist, having been a Floyd fan for many years. So started a relationship that continues to this day, (on albums such as “The Final Cut”, “A Momentary Lapse of Reason”, “The Division Bell”, “Pulse”, Roger Waters’ “The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking”, David Gilmour’s “About Face”, “On An Island”, “Live in Gdansk”), resulting in two Grammy nominations for his work and Mix magazine’s award for best live sound engineer for “Pulse” tour. He is also engineer and a co-producer of the soon-to-be-released Pink Floyd album, “The Endless River”.

Alongside his work with Pink Floyd and wider work as an engineer, he has recorded three albums, recorded with friends, as a musician in his own right: “On the Surface”, “Obvious” and “Mythical Burrowing Animals”. All three works were ideas ahead of their time it would seem. He did find time along the way to produce work for other artists, including the seminal British Goth band Fields Of The Nephilim. This again was the genesis of a relationship that would lead to the present day, after ex Nephilim Tony Pettitt asked Andy to join his new band The Eden House as guitarist.

After three years with Eden House, Andy felt it was time to move on & embark on a new challenge of a completely solo album project. This has lead to the creation of the “Signal to Noise” album, a wonderful sonic experience that is sure to Andy Jackson heralded as a significant creative force in modern Progressive music.

Jeffrey Alan DBury, also known as Jeff DBury, is a professional musician, songwriter and solo artist- performer from Chicago, IL.  Jeff started playing drums at a young age as he felt particularly attracted to the instrument. When he was 16, he began his musical career playing in bands.

Jeff DBury played drums in several local bands and performed live gigs for two decades during the 80's and 90's. Amongst the bands Jeff played with, a few of them were cover bands and some other bands did play original music.

“Throughout the 25 plus years of being a drummer in a number of different bands, playing clubs and small venues, I learned to play other instruments as well. Having played in several different bands that played original music as a drummer, I also learned how to write songs”.

Jeff DBury played his last gig as a drummer in 1999. Soon after, Jeff concentrated in creating his own musical compositions. To start with he experimented with different recording software, and then began writing and recording songs. Jeff plays all the instruments and sings too.

“I play drums, guitar, bass, and keyboards. I write, record, and produce all of my own original material, I don't use drum machines or preset tracks, it is I playing every note, beat, and singing every lyric on my songs”.

“I don't try to compare my music to any other artists or bands, and though my music reflects an old school classic rock and heavy metal style, I like to believe I have developed my own original sound”.

Jeff DBury has recorded seven full-length albums since 1999, six of which are all original songs, and one album of classic cover songs that he considers a tribute to his favorite artists who have also been a big influence on his music.

“I have my own little music studio her in my home...my basement is my studio and where I do all of my musical projects....I've been doing this for about 15 years, I haven't played with a band since 1999...I got burnt out on the whole band thing and started doing what I do now back in 1999...I love doing this kind of stuff. I love music; I've been playing for over 35 years...”

Jeff DBury’s music receives airplays on one of the most successful online radio shows in the world: “Psychedelic Sunday”, a radio show hosted by  musician star and writer Mark Yandle from Miami, FL at Digital Revolution Radio every Sunday morning, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.

DBury’s Track Listing:

  • ·        She isn’t Mine

  • ·        Beast Within The Fire
  • ·        Warrior (Eye Of The Storm)
  • ·        Metal Delight
  • ·        The Candle
  • ·        Make it Count

“Though this is my seventh album, I am kind of considering it more of a debut album because of the air play it's getting as well as the quality of the recording”.

“Songs like, "Homeward Bound" I actually wrote the music for that song about 15 years ago and it originally appeared on my very first CD as an instrumental, my first two CD's back in 1999 and 2001 were instrumentals and had no vocals on any of the songs, they were also never released publicly and only available through personal contact with me”.

“I wrote the lyrics for "Homeward Bound" back in 2010 and the second version of it with vocals is actually on the last album I put out back in 2011. That track on my latest album is the 3rd time I've recorded it and it's by far the best version of it”.

"She Isn't Mine" is also another older song, it's actually a really old song that I co-wrote with a guy I used to play in a band with back in the 80's, The band was named "Challenger", and "She Isn't Mine" was one of our most popular songs when we'd play live gigs. That song was actually written back in 1982. The rest of the songs are all new songs that I've written over the past year and a half”.
