 The music of “Thirty Seconds To Mars” undoubtedly brings a deep sense of exploration and growth since their first self-title album release in 2002.

“Love Lust Faith + Dreams” is a conceptual 12 tracks album which proves the band’s assertive creative path of working musically with no limits. The album offers a wide experimentation of sounds mostly used into the electronic music field while keeping the rock style alive. On the other hand, it is important to highlight that the album’s title is what groups the tracks into four specific segments:  Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams, in that order, with the beginning of each segment stated by a female voiceover announcing the section name before the beginning of a song or at the end of an interlude as a way to commence the next section. This concept is also seen on the CD with a color for each segment. Red for Love, yellow for Lust, green for Faith and blue for Dreams.

“Love Lust Faith + Dreams” starts with an intro track titled “Birth” combining a female voiceover reciting the album’s title together with an increasing heavy guitar, leading to a fiery sound which marks the beginning of the next track “Conquistator”, one of the best tracks for live shows featuring a likable chanting chorus for the crowds to sing along. Then, the single cut “Up in the Air” and its music video directed by Jared Leto under the name of Bartholomew Cubbins, is both musically and visually epic. 

The album goes on with a clear understanding of music exploration profoundly altering the basic structures with electronic beats on “City of Angels”. It’s also noticeable an emotional intent of resurrecting the tunes from the 2009 album “This Is War” on track five “The Race”.    

Balled lovers find their moment on track six “End of All Days” with a heart moving melody, piano lines and the suggestive voice of Jared Leto softly talking, making this one the most emotive track.

“Love Lust Faith + Dreams” fills the listeners’ ears with most of everything and pleases worldwide audiences with arena-anthems such as “Do or Die” and “Northern Lights”.
