Today, our community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of a dear friend, cherished colleague, and exceptional human being: Angela Albee.
Angela recently lost her battle with liver cancer, she was full of life and truly convinced she would make it. That fierce optimism and kinda spirit defined everything she did.
On a more personal note and as awriter myself, Angela was an incredible professional and creative partner, Angela was a passionate rock music fan who loved legendary bands like Great White, Guns N' Roses, Dio, Black Sabbath, Whitesnake, Van Halen, Alice in Chains and many more. That vibrant, rock-and-roll soul carried over into her zest for life and her deep care for the people around her.
Angela had a remarkable creative mind and a sharp editorial eye. She was the trusted editor and proofreader for my screenplays Get Born Again and Leland, which featured actress Cara Mastrey and actor Matt Harrison, among a long list of amazing musicians and artists from Saint Louis, MO and Los Angeles, CA actress Elise Muller, Lathan, Divine Sorrow and so many more.
Angela wrote the greatest, most encouraging reviews of my books and scripts. Her brilliance, intuition, and steadfast support left an indelible mark on every page she touched.
Her dedication extended far beyond the creative arts and into causes that truly mattered. Angela poured her heart into her work for the Tawn Mastrey Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating people about Hepatitis C. Her contributions to the foundation's communication and education fields were crucial, helping to raise awareness and change lives through her tireless advocacy.
Angela Albee was the kind of person who gave her all to everything she touched. Whether she was refining a script, advancing vital public health education, rocking out to her favorite music, or simply sharing a warm smile during a busy day, her presence made a lasting difference.
She deserved the world, and while no words can fully capture the depth of who she was, her impact will live on in our memories, the stories she helped tell, the lives she educated, and the kindness we extend to one another in her honor.
We extend our deepest condolences to Angela's family, loved ones, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Rest in peace, Angela. You will be forever missed and never forgotten.
